Minimally Invasive Solutions for Kidney Stones
The management of urolithiasis (kidney stones) has undergone a revolutionary transformation in recent years. Gone are the days when open surgery was the standard. Today, we rely on advanced, minimally invasive techniques that ensure faster recovery and less pain for patients.
Flexible Ureteroscopy (RIRS)
Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery (RIRS) allows us to navigate up the urinary tract using a flexible scope to locate and destroy stones with a laser. This "incision-less" procedure is highly effective for stones that are difficult to reach or resistant to other treatments.
Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL)
For larger stones, Mini-PCNL is the gold standard. Through a tiny puncture in the back (less than 1cm), we can fragment and remove large kidney stones directly. This technique significantly reduces hospital stay compared to traditional methods.
At our clinic, we tailor the treatment to the specific size, location, and composition of the stone, ensuring the highest success rates with minimal intervention.
